G. Howell White

G. Howell White was born and raised in Massachusetts, where his house overlooked a huge 19th century cemetery that just happens to be the final resting place of Lizzie Borden. The view from his bedroom window was gravestones as far as he could see, which may explain a few things. After studying electronics in high school, he joined the United States Air Force and for the next 26 years travelled the globe as a radar technician, quality assurance inspector, and Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems manager before finally hanging up his uniform in 2010. He’s had the good fortune to visit most every state in the U.S. (including Alaska, where home was the bustling metropolis of North Pole), and spent 16 years living, Working and travelling the globe (27 countries and counting). He wrote his first story in a high school Science Fiction elective class and never stopped writing after that; unfortunately it was mostly personnel evaluations and inspection reports, which many of his airmen will tell you were filled with fiction. He was heavily influenced by the writings of Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, and Stephen King; his favorite books are The City and the Stars by Clarke and Insomnia by King. Unsurprisingly, he enjoys writing horror and science fiction. He’s also been a photography for as long as he can remember, even having taught darkroom work and basic photo skills while in the military. While living in Italy in the late 90’s he met his future bride whom he (finally) married in 2002. They have a son and a daughter, and are currently living in Colorado where he works as a defense contractor doing logistics work for space and missile defense systems. G.
