Lassiter's Literacy

I am an experienced educator with 25 years in public school education. Most of my experience in education has been teaching reading. I have been a classroom teacher, reading intervention teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher and reading specialist. I have worked primarily in Title I schools with large ESOL and Special Education populations. I am a National Board Certified Teacher certifying in Literacy: Reading/Language Arts - Early And Middle Childhood in 2008 and renewing in 2018. I am passionate about helping children become highly proficient readers and lifelong lovers of literature. I work with parents and teachers providing tips and guidance in developing their students into highly proficient readers while making reading a fun experience to be enjoyed for a lifetime. I am a single mom to an adult daughter (who loves to read, of course). My hobbies, besides reading, include singing, acting and watching movies. I love stories in all forms!
