Course: BA Journalism Favorite novel: The Giver by Lois Lowry - The Giver made me want to embrace pain the same way I embrace happiness. Favorite films: Cinema Paradiso by Giuseppe Tornatore & Whiplash by Damien Chazelle Some media practitioners I respect: Raffy Lerma - The photos he takes as a photojournalist manifest two things-- social realities and bravery. Kara David & Jessica Soho - These two journalists' regard for the pursuit of the story and the truth is unmeasurable. Songs I love: Huling Sayaw by Kamikazee - This has always been my go-to song to perform as it encapsulates the true meaning of appreciation. It reminds people of how quickly something can disappear, and how stupid people can be for not noticing. It reminds people to always smile and be thankful for things before and even after they slip away. Moonlight by Grace Vanderwaal - This song speaks for me whenever the darkness wins. Favorite band: Hippo Campus They saved my life. Food I would never say no to: Beef. Just because. My hobbies include the most random things-- from watching the sky shift from one color palette to another, to asking questions that never seem to have answers, to making music, to watching films, and just writing everything else in between.
