Stephen Iles

Nickname: I used to take my daughter for horse riding lessons and stayed with the other parents to watch. On one rare occasion my wife took her to the lesson and was asked by the instructor "where is that lovely husband of yours ?". On another occasion she asked about the "gorgeous" husband and what a "lovely, lovely" man I was. It turned into a family joke where I'd claim to be lovely, lovely gorgeous when being reprimanded for something, such as not putting the toilet seat down. When I needed a silly nickname to use on FetchEveryone the name was used and is now my general username on many many sites. I started running as a way to save time at the gym. I reasoned that if I ran the mile home it had to be better than on a dreadmill and it would save on petrol if I wanted to gym on my own. A mile felt a huge distance and I was very proud of myself. In due course I discovered that a run in my work lunch hour helped with stress reduction and so a runner was born.
